This program is designed for adults age 18 & up to encourage life-long reading habits. Once you've earned enough points you'll receive a completion certificate you can print and share!

For Grades 3-5 you’ll log in minutes. After 6 Hours of Reading earns a Prize Level. There are 4 Prize Levels. Children can only register and complete the 2024 Summer Reading program ONCE.   

For Grades K-2 you’ll log books. For every 6 Books read or attend 6 story times, you will receive a Prize Level.

This Summer Lewisboro Library will be launching the 1000 Books to Kindergarten Program.

Parents can log in books online or pick up a journal/booklet in the summer reading area in the Children's Room.

The 1000 Books Foundation is a Nevada 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity which operates the nationwide (and in Canada) 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge.  The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless.  Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes, you can repeat books) before your precious one start kindergarten.  The 1000 Books Foundation provides useful information and resources to parents and caregivers and enables libraries, schools, churches, and other non-profit entities to host 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenges in their local community.
